ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAtheltics.com) - The UCF track and field team rose to No. 17 in the nation, according to the USTFCCCA's National Team Computer Rankings released Tuesday. The Knights bumped up one spot from last week's No. 18 standing and have now ranked among the country's best for 20-straight weeks dating to April 26, 2011.
UCF is Conference USA's lone member represented in the national polls. Texas leads the way followed by Clemson and Florida as the nation's top three programs.
Four Knights currently rank among the NCAA's top 25 in their respective individual events and two of UCF's 4x100 Relay squads weigh in at No. 3 and No. 8, respectively, in the country.
UCF concluded its outdoor regular season this past weekend and the Knights are enjoying a week off from competition before they head to New Orleans on May 11-13 in pursuit of a third-straight C-USA outdoor championship.
