LEXINGTON, Ky. (UCFAthletics.com) - The No. 11 UCF track and field team produced a new school record and four top-five finishes in its season opener Friday night at the Kentucky Invitational.

Junior Ne'Ausha Logan, freshman Ebony Rose, junior Erica Winston and freshman Anne-Marie Blaney shaved nearly 10 seconds off the distance medley relay record set in 2008 with a fifth-place time of 11:55.07, which ranked among the top 10 in the country at time of publication.

Two Knights earned top-five finishes in the long jump. Senior Sonnisha Williams leaped 5.89m/19-04 on her first attempt for third place. She was followed closely by junior Jen Clayton's 5.86m/19-02.75 - also on her first jump -- for fourth place.

Allison Lampert matched Miami's Dakota Dailey-Harris for the best showing by a freshman in the high jump with a sixth-place performance of 1.65m/5-05.

Junior Destinee Romain bested her personal record in the weight throw by more than 4 feet with a fifth-place mark of 18.23m/59-09.75. Also competing in the weight throw, Kalen Hambrick finished eighth with a mark of 17.82m/58-05.75 while sophomore Precious Ogunleye started off the season with the second-best throw of her collegiate career (16.82m/55-02.25).
