ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's tennis team delivered five singles victories Saturday at the Knights Invitational at the UCF Tennis Complex. The Black and Gold has now won 11 singles matches in just two days of the event.

Taking on Stetson in doubles play, the Knights came through with a pair of victories. In a close battle with Diana Bukajeva and Andrea Crespo, Genevieve Lorbergs and Josephine Haraldson came through with a 9-7 win. Also notching a victory was Courtney Griffith and Sofia Baptista in an 8-4 decision against Lindsey Cable and MayaBlue Stauffer-MacDowell.

When singles play got underway vs. Florida Gulf Coast, UCF went on to rack up four straight-set wins. Posting identical 6-0, 6-1 scores, Jenna Doerfler topped Morgan Bechtel, and Caroline Eberhart got past Bettina Botha. Meanwhile, Clare Mendell motored by Elizabeth Means, 7-6(3), 6-0, and Sofia Baptista notched a 6-3, 6-2 victory vs. Zhoe Solaun.

Going the distance, freshman Katie Spivak tallied her first-collegiate singles win thanks to a 6-4, 3-6, 1-0(10-2) performance over Marina Diez.

The Knights conclude their first event of the fall with day three Sunday. First serve is slated for 9 a.m. and admission is free.
