DALLAS (UCFAthletics.com) - Led by an impressive doubles lineup, the UCF women's tennis team posted a 5-2 victory at SMU Sunday in Dallas. The Knights have now won four of their last five matches to boost their record to 8-10 on the year and 2-1 in Conference USA.

Getting the afternoon started vs. the Mustangs (1-14), UCF swept the doubles point to capture momentum and a 1-0 lead. The No. 80 team in the country of Courtney Griffith and Genevieve Lorbergs topped Edyta Cieplucha and Heather Steinbauer at No. 1, 8-6. Over at No. 2, Jenna Doerfler and Alexis Rodriguez got past Kris Roberts and Ashley Turpin, 8-4, and Taylor Dubins and Andrea Yacaman notched an 8-3 win against Perri Anderson and Erika Marschall at No. 3.

With a 1-0 advantage, the No. 3-6 singles positions all picked up victories to seal the overall team win. At No. 4, Dubins cruised by Turpin, 6-2, 6-2, Josephine Haraldson flew past Roberts at No. 5, 6-0, 6-4, and Griffith delivered a 6-3, 6-3 win vs. Anderson at No. 6. Capping off the day, Doerfler earned a 2-6, 7-6, 6-4 come-from-behind triumph vs. Steinbauer at No. 3.

UCF's regular season closes April 14 when the Knights host Florida Atlantic at 10 a.m. The C-USA Championship is slated to get underway April 19 in Memphis, Tenn.
