ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's soccer team is on the move in the latest national rankings, jumping to No. 8 in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and Continental Tire Poll. The Knights now match the 2009 squad for the highest ranking during the Amanda Cromwell era, which dates to her first year in 1999.
The Knights are also ranked in the nation's top 10 of the Soccer America Poll with a steady hold at No. 9.
UCF is the second-highest ranked program in the state of Florida as Florida State sits at No. 1. Regionally, the Knights are one of the best at No. 2 in the NSCAA Central Region behind Oklahoma State, who is ranked third nationally.
UCF is riding a three-game win streak thanks in part to two shutout wins this past weekend over Dartmouth and Georgia in the UCF Tournament. The Knights recorded their first win in program history over the Bulldogs, who were ranked eighth in the NSCAA Central Region Poll at the time.
UCF will travel to Boston for the first time since 1983 to face the sixth-ranked Boston College Eagles on Sunday at noon.
Season tickets are available for UCF's remaining home games, beginning at $30. A complimentary soccer scarf comes with each purchase. The Gold Pass, which includes season tickets to all volleyball, men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, softball and track and field contests, is also available now.
