ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's basketball team will play in its final home game Wednesday before embarking on a two-week road trip when the Knights take on North Florida at 7 p.m. at UCF Arena.
Both teams are in search of their first win of the season, and this marks the first meeting between the two programs since 2007-08. UCF holds an all-time record of 2-0 against the Ospreys.
UCF freshman Briahanna Jackson has made quite an impression in her first two games as she leads the team with an average of 19 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
Mary Tappmeyer has been at the head of UNF's program since its inception 21 years ago. The team returns three starters and nine letterwinners from last year.
North Florida is in the middle of a four-game road trip to start the season and will head to Orlando after losses to FIU and No. 23 Miami last weekend. Senior Jadhken Kerr, UNF's all-time leading three-point shooter, leads the team in scoring with 8.0 points per game. Raneisha Lamar, who also runs track at UNF, averages a team-high 7.0 rebounds per game.
Season tickets, which start at only $30, are currently available by calling (407) UCF-1000 or by visiting UCFAthletics.com.
