ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) -- The Conference USA Tournament bracket was released and a tipoff time of noon ET has been set for UCF's opening-round matchup against Houston on Wednesday. The eighth-seeded Knights will face the ninth-seeded Cougars at the Tulsa Convention Center in Tulsa, Okla.
The winner of the opening round will move on to face top-seeded SMU the following day at noon in the quarterfinals.
UCF won its only meeting against the Cougars, 68-55, in the final home game of the season thanks in part to two 20-point performances from senior Gevenia Carter and freshman Briahanna Jackson.
"Houston is a very, very good team and much better than their record shows," UCF head coach Joi Williams said. "They are athletic and long, and we have a lot of respect for their transition game and their rebounding. Defensive rebounding will be a key for us."
C-USA Digital Network will exclusively stream the first two rounds. Current subscribers to the C-USA Digital Network can click on the watch links and enter password information to view the games. New and school-only subscribers must visit www.conferenceusa.com/allaccess/.
As always, fans can tune into Scott Adams' free audio broadcast, which is also available on mobile devices. Live stats are also available via UCFAthletics.com.
The semifinals and championship game will be played at the Bok Center in downtown Tulsa and televised by CBS Sports Network. The winner of the championship will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. A complete bracket can be found at the top of the story.
