ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's basketball team will pay tribute to the two members of its senior class on Thursday when it hosts Houston at 7 p.m. Guard Gevenia Carter and forward Kayli Keough will suit up for their final home game of the season.
Carter was a part of the 2010-11 Conference USA Championship team and will leave UCF as one of
the program's top steals and 3-point field-goal leaders. She currently paces the team in scoring with 14.5 points per game.
Keough earned her bachelor's degree in sociology in May 2012, will graduate with her second bachelor's degree in psychology this May and intends to attend law school following graduation. She is the team's third-leading rebounder this season (4.2 per game) and owns the second-best field-goal percentage (.451).
UCF (11-16, 5-8) hopes to bounce back after two losses last week while Houston (12-14, 5-7)
is coming off a home win over C-USA leader SMU.
The Cougars' leading scorer, Porsche Landry, is back for her fifth year after she suffered a season-ending head and neck injury in just the third contest of the 2011-12 season. Junior center Yasmeen Thompson continues to lead C- USA in field-goal percentage (55.0) and looks to become the first Cougar to top C-USA in the category at year's end.
