ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's basketball team takes to the road looking for its third-straight win Thursday at 8 p.m. ET at Southern Miss. The Knights (9-14, 3-6) are hoping to avenge a 5-point loss earlier in the season to the Golden Eagles (12-10, 4-5).

UCF is riding high after back-to-back wins at home last week that warranted a Conference USA Freshman of the Week distinction for guard Briahanna Jackson. Jackson heads into the contest eight points shy of becoming UCF's leading freshman scorer during the Joi Williams era (since 2007).

The matchup will feature two of the nation's top-10 steals leaders this year. USM's Jamierra Faulkner (7th, 3.55 spg) ranks slightly ahead of Jackson (8th, 3.48 spg) in the most recent standings.

Southern Miss aims to get back on track after two-consecutive losses last week. The team is one of two in the conference to boast two top-10 scorers this season. Faulkner ranks third with an average of 17.9 points per game while Tanecka Carey's 14.9 points per game checks in at eighth.

The Knights have not dropped a game in Hattiesburg since 2009 and were the only team to steal a win in February at Reed Green Coliseum last year. Senior Kayli Keoughbroke out with a career-high 24 points in that victory.
