ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF women's basketball team continues its travels to Memphis this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET still on the hunt for its first win of the conference season. UCF is coming off a hard-fought 3-point loss at Tulsa earlier this week.
The Knights (6-12, 0-4 Conference USA) and Tigers (12-7, 3-2) are locked at an 8-8 tie in the overall series. UCF is looking for its first win in the "Birthplace of Rock `n' Roll" since 2009.
The game will feature two of the league's top freshmen this year. Memphis' Ariel Hearn (14.6 ppg) sits ahead of UCF's Briahanna Jackson (14.4 ppg) as the C-USA's top-scoring rookie by two-tenths of a point. Hearn ranks first among freshmen for assists (4.1 per game) while Jackson ranks first in the group for steals (3.3 per game).
Memphis has won three of its last four games, including its most recent outing at UAB on Thursday. Nicole Dickson leads not only the team, but C-USA as well, with 19.9 points per game.
