ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Following a junior campaign in which he was one of the top offensive players in the country, Deshorn Brown of the UCF men's soccer team has earned NSCAA All-South Region First Team honors. The forward recorded 13 goals in 2012.

An All-Conference USA First Team selection, Brown played in 16 games in his first year at UCF, making 15 starts. He had three game-winning goals and also added three assists for 29 points.

A native of Jamaica, Brown led C-USA and ranked fifth nationally in points per game at 1.81. He paced the league and was sixth in the country in goals per game (0.81). Brown had 60 shots on the year, with 28 coming on goal.

Brown, who began his college career at the University of Mobile, was named the Disney Soccer/NSCAA National Player of the Week on Oct. 29 after totaling five goals and an assist for 11 points against Memphis and UAB.

UCF has had eight all-region selections in the last three years.
