ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's soccer team will host one of the nation's premier squads Wednesday when No. 12 Charlotte visits the UCF Soccer Complex. The contest with the 49ers, who finished as the runner-up at the 2011 NCAA College Cup, will begin at 7 p.m.

Charlotte is 5-1-2 this season and owns victories over a pair of Conference USA teams in Kentucky and South Carolina. A year ago, the 49ers went 16-5-4. Eight starters and 13 letterwinners from that team are back this year.

UCF (2-2-2) posted a hard-fought 2-2 double-overtime draw at Florida Gulf Coast Saturday. Deshorn Brown scored the game-tying goal in the 87th minute. On the year, the junior leads UCF with five goals and 11 points.

UCF will be hosting a ranked opponent for the second time this year. On Sept. 1, the Knights opened their home schedule against No. 11 Old Dominion. The 49ers will serve as UCF's third opponent this season that competed in the 2011 NCAA Championship.

All UCF students who attend the match will receive a guaranteed ticket to Saturday's UCF-Missouri football game. UCF students are admitted free to all home soccer matches with a valid school ID.

Season tickets, which include a savings off of the single-game ticket price, are $30 and include a commemorative UCF soccer scarf. Season tickets are currently available by visiting UCFAthletics.com or by calling (407) UCF-1000. The Gold Pass, which includes season tickets to all volleyball, men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, softball and track and field contests, is also available now.

Live statistics and video will be available Wednesday at UCFAthletics.com.
