ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Having concluded its trip to California this past weekend with a victory, the UCF men's soccer team will be back in action Friday when the Knights host Jacksonville. The contest at the UCF Soccer Complex will begin at 7:30 p.m.
The Knights (2-2) played a pair of matches last weekend in California. The team wrapped up the trip with a 3-1 come-from-behind victory over UC Davis Sunday. The Knights scored all three of their goals after intermission. McKauly Tulloch recorded two of the scores, including the game-winning goal in the 84th minute.
UCF is currently ranked 31st nationally by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
The match versus the Dolphins (0-5-0) is part of a doubleheader. The UCF women's team will begin the evening with a 5 p.m. contest against North Florida. Those who attend the women's match will receive free admission to the game against Jacksonville.
The contest is the first home match for the Knights since Sept. 1. Three of UCF's first four regular-season games were away from Orlando.
UCF and Jacksonville met a year ago in Duval County and the Knights posted a 2-1 season-opening win. Tulloch and A.J. Nelson both scored in the victory.
Season tickets, which include a savings off of the single-game ticket price, are $30 and include a commemorative UCF soccer scarf. Season tickets are currently available by visiting UCFAthletics.com or by calling (407) UCF-1000. The Gold Pass, which includes season tickets to all volleyball, men's and women's soccer, women's basketball, softball and track and field contests, is also available now.
