Eason Wins Regional Title; Knights Headed to NCAA Championships

Eason's triumph marks first individual regional championship for UCF.

As a Junior (2012-13)
•Shot season best 68 (-3) in the second round of the FAU Spring Break Championship and finished 6th.
• Carded a score of seven over par in the Schenkel Invitational, tying for 36th.
• Earned C-USA Golfer of the Week Award (2/27) after his performance at the John Hayt Invitational.
• Shot four under par in the first round of the John Hayt Invitational. Tied for third overall in the event.
• Shot a par of 70 in both the first and third rounds of the Gator Invitational
• Earned C-USA Golfer of Week Award (11/7) for his 1st-place finish at the Stetson/ CFSC Invitational with a score of 214 (-2)
•Shot one over par with a 73 in the first round of the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational
•Tied for 3rd at the Adams Cup in Newport, R.I., with a score of 215 (+4)
•Made season debut at the Northern Intercollegiate in Sugar Grove, Ill

As a Sophomore (2011-12)
• Received PING All-America honorable mention recognition
• Earned Golfweek All-America honorable mention recognition
• Named the Conference USA Newcomer of the Year
• Selected to the PING All-Southeast Region Team and the All-C-USA First Team
• Competed in all 12 events and posted a team-low 71.5 stroke average
• Had 20 rounds of par/better
• Recorded five top-10 performances

• Tied for sixth at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., posting a 214 (+4)
• Tied for 20th at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational in Windermere, Fla., with a 222 (+6)
• Tied for 34th with a score of 216 (E) at Prestige at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif.
• Named Conference USA Golfer of the Week on Sept. 21
• Claimed medalist at the Adams Cup of Newport in Middletown R.I., concluding at 204 (-11)
• Made debut as a Knight at the Northern Intercollegiate in Sugar Grove Ill., where he tied for ninth-place at 218 (+3)

Prior to UCF
• Earned NCAA Division II Ping All-America First Team honors in 2010-11 after freshman season at Lynn
• Received the Phil Mickelson Award, presented to the most outstanding freshman in Division II golf
• Named to the Golf Coaches Association of America All-Freshman Team
• Selected as the Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year and also earned all-league first team honors
• Led Lynn to a second-place finish at the NCAA Division II Championship, tying for third during stroke play
• Finished first at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional
• Won the crown at the Rollins College Invitational
• Posted top-five finishes at the Golfweek DII Spring Invitational, Bobcat Invitational and Sunshine State Conference Championship
