REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (2012):
-Voted on to the C-USA All-Freshman Team
-Saw game action in 12 contests including one start
-Finished his first full season with 18 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks
-At Akron 8/30: Registered three solo tackles and collected one sack
-FIU 9/15: Made one solo stop
-Missouri 9/29: Recorded two tackles
-ECU 10/4: Tallied a 14-yard loss sack
-At Marshall 10/27: Collected six tackles, 3.5 TFLs and dropped the quarterback for two sacks
-SMU 11/3: Made four tackles
-At UTEP 11/10: Added one tackle which was for a loss
-UAB 11/24: Had two QB hurries
TRUE FRESHMAN SEASON (2011):
-Did not see game action
HIGH SCHOOL:
-Played defensive end for Edgewater, but also played on the offensive side of the ball at tight end, and was coached by Bill Gierke
-Led his team to the Class 4A Region 2 District 7 title with an 8-3 overall record and perfect 5-0 mark in the district
-Team advanced to the Class 4A regional quarterfinals against Lakeland Kathleen
-Posted 80 tackles and 11 sacks as a junior
-Rivals, ESPN and Scout rated him with three stars
-ESPN rated him as the No. 91 defensive end nationally, while Scout listed him at No. 131
-Member of the National Honor Society
-Edgewater has seen several future UCF football players walk through its halls, including the late Ed Gantner (1979-81), Doug Gatewood (1979-82), Arnell Spencer (1987-88), Gerod Davis (1992-95) Kevin Stewart (1992-96) and Mike Sims-Walker (2003-06)
-Current Edgewater alums on the UCF roster include E.J. Dunston and Quincy McDuffie
-Chose UCF after also being recruited by Texas Tech, Michigan State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Rutgers and USF
