PRIOR TO UCF:
-Previously attended the College of DuPage, a junior college in Glen Ellyn, Ill.
-Enjoyed a successful junior-college career for the Chaparrals, earning NJCAA Second-Team All-America honors in 2010, as well as being named to the All-Midwest Conference Defense First Team
-Played several linebacker positions under DuPage head coach Fred Fimbres
-Finished his sophomore season with 118 total tackles, 69 solo stops, 11 tackles for loss, three sacks and five forced fumbles
-Team concluded the season with a 20-14 win in the Graphic Edge Bowl over JC rival Coffeyville, Kan.
-As a freshman in 2009, he posted 91 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, one sack and three forced fumbles
-Rated with three stars from Rivals
HIGH SCHOOL:
-Had a standout high school career playing for Roger "Buck" Drach at West Aurora High School in Aurora, Ill.
-Was a dominant defensive player, ending his career on the Daily Herald's All Tri-Cities Team
-Played three seasons on the varsity roster, serving as a team captain
-Was the Blackhawks' team MVP on defense and made First Team All-DuPage Valley Conference for the second-consecutive year in 2008
-In his final high school season, led the team with 78 tackles, four tackles for loss and six sacks
-Also forced three fumbles, had a blocked punt and a fumble recovery
-Ranked No. 34 in the The Sporting News JUCO Super 60
