SOPHOMORE SEASON (2012):
-Named the UCF Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week prior to the FIU and Missouri games
PRIOR TO UCF:
-Played in 10 games as a freshman at Western Michigan, totaling seven tackles
-Started one game, which came at Miami (Ohio)
HIGH SCHOOL:
-Played defensive tackle for Westwood and coach Rodrick Lawson, mostly at nose tackle, but also saw action on the offensive line
-Helped guide his Panthers to a District 13 Region 3A title and a 9-1 record, including an undefeated regular season capped by a thrilling 22-21 win over then unbeaten Fort Pierce Central in front of 10,000 fans
-Fell in the Class 3A regional quarterfinal
-Recorded 63 tackles, seven sacks, 13 tackles for loss, three fumble recoveries and two pass break-ups as a senior
-As a junior in 2009, had 60 tackles and four sacks, helping Westwood to a regional final and 8-4 finish
-Was rated as the No. 10 overall prospect in Palm Beach's Treasure and Gold Coasts
-2010 District 17 3A Defensive Player of the Year
-Twice named to the All-Treasure Coast and All-Palm Beach County teams
-Participated in the North vs. South Florida Senior All-Star Game, and in the Palm Beach Outback Bowl Game
-ESPN, Rivals and Scout websites rated him three stars
-Rated No. 51 nationally at defensive tackle by Rivals, No. 59 by Scout and No. 85 by ESPN
-Was a Rivals 2010 All-NIKE Camp Team Defense honorable mention selection
