ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - The UCF men's basketball team, off to a 3-0 start this season, will face a tough challenge Tuesday when it hosts Middle Tennessee State. Tipoff at the UCF Arena is 7 p.m.
A year ago, Middle Tennessee State (2-1) won 27 games and advanced to the postseason NIT quarterfinals. The Blue Raiders recorded notable victories over UCLA, Ole Miss and Tennessee.
The contest is part of a busy week for the Knights. On Sunday, host UCF remained unbeaten with a 53-50 win over Savannah State. Keith Clanton recorded his third-straight double-double in the win with 17 points and 12 boards. The Knights will end the week Friday in Gainesville against Florida.
Season tickets, which start at only $96, are currently available by calling (407) UCF-1000 or by visiting UCFAthletics.com. The game against the Blue Raiders is the third of a school-record 20 home contests for the Knights this year.
Prior to the game Tuesday, fans can purchase tickets prior to the game at the UCF Arena box office. UCF students are admitted free to all home contests with a valid school ID.
The contest will air on the UCF IMG Sports Network and its flagship station, 740 The Game in Orlando. Marc Daniels will have the call and will be joined by former UCF guard Taylor Young. Live video and statistics will be available at UCFAthletics.com.
