ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - After posting a comeback victory Saturday night, the UCF men's basketball team has earned the No. 6 seed at the Conference USA Championship in Memphis, Tenn. The Knights will open the event Wednesday at the FedEx Forum against No. 11 Southern Miss at 3:30 p.m. Eastern.
The winner of the UCF-Southern Miss game will face No. 3 UAB in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Eastern.
After trailing by 17 points early in the second half, senior guard Jermaine Taylor (Tavares, Fla.) and the Knights rallied for a 74-71 win over East Carolina in Orlando Saturday. Taylor totaled 36 points in the win.
