ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Two of the most highly respected college baseball outlets announced their postseason awards late Wednesday, which allowed UCF senior Chris Duffy to continue to add to his list of honors from the 2010 season. The Orlando product was named a First Team All-American by Baseball America and the Pro-Line Athletic National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

Five different All-America teams have been released since the end of the season, and Duffy's name has appeared on all of them. That includes a spot on the first team by Baseball America, Pro-Line Athletic NCBWA, Yahoo! Sports and Ping!Baseball.

Not only an All-American, Duffy is the lone Conference USA student-athlete who is one of five finalists for the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award, which is handed out to the nation's top amateur player. The Cypress Creek High School graduate also is a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy.

A recent draft pick by the Philadelphia Phillies, Duffy was rated as the top outfielder in the country by Yahoo! Sports throughout the 2010 campaign. He helped lead the Knights to a 33-22 record, their most victories since joining C-USA in 2005.

And while the Black and Gold was improving as a unit on the field, Duffy's numbers certainly singled him out. His .447 batting average and .850 slugging percentage not only broke UCF records, they also were the highest marks in C-USA history. Duffy's 21 homers were the most by a Knight in a single-season, and his first-career grand slam in his final collegiate at-bat at Tulane enabled him to tie Bobby Kiser for the most career homers at UCF (43).

Duffy also wrapped up 2010 with 81 RBI, 18 doubles, 54 runs, 175 total bases and a .539 on-base percentage.
