Seven Knights Earn All-C-USA Baseball Honors

2011
-Named a semifinalist for the NCBWA Dick Howser Trophy, which is handed out to the nation's top player
-Selected to the NCBWA All-America Third Team
-Voted onto the All-C-USA Second Team and the C-USA All-Tournament Team
-Earned a spot on the Tallahassee Regional All-Tournament Team
-Led UCF with a .351 average, and collected 14 homers, 11 doubles, 66 RBI, 42 runs, a .583 slugging percentage and a .428 on-base percentage
-Also had seven sacrifice flies, 133 total bases and 35 walks
-Hit .351 in C-USA games with a team-high 23 RBI
-Paced all C-USA hitters in RBI and also ranked in the top five in average, slugging, homers, hits and total bases
-Batted .380 vs. left-handed pitchers, .381 with runners on base and .395 with runners in scoring position
-Homered in a two-hit, two-RBI day vs. Alabama in the NCAA Regionals (6/5) Totaled four hits with a pair of RBI and three runs vs. B-CU in the NCAA Regionals (6/4)
-Racked up three hits with two RBI vs. Rice in the C-USA Championship (5/27)
-Belted out a three-run opposite-field homer in a two-hit day at Stetson (5/17)
-Finished the finale by going 4-for-6, and went 7-for-16 overall with five RBI in the series at UAB (5/13-15)
-Drilled a two-run homer to right-center at FSU (5/7)
-Went on a 10-game hitting streak (4/17-5/3)
-Lined a three-run homer over the right-field wall in a two-hit day at USF (5/3), and also pitched a scoreless inning
-Named Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week, NCBWA Hitter of the Week and C-USA Hitter of the Week by going 10-for-21 with three homers and 13 RBI vs. FAU, UF and Memphis (4/19-24)
-In the series at Memphis, had two dingers including the game-winning grand slam in the seventh inning of game two
-Homered against Florida (4/20)
-Amassed six RBI with two doubles and a single vs. FAU (4/19)
-Went 4-for-12 with a double in the ECU series (4/15-17)
-Gave UCF the comeback 8-7 win with a two-run homer in the eighth and a two-run walk-off single in the ninth vs. Tulane (4/10)
-Got the win by pitching the eighth inning at Florida (4/5)
-Homered in a two-hit game vs. USM (4/2)
-At Rice (3/25-27), combined to go 5-for-13 with a double, three runs and a RBI
-Sent a solo homer over the center-field wall vs. Columbia (3/19)
-Cranked out a pair of homers against USF (3/15)
-Went on a 13-game hitting streak from Feb. 19-March 12
-Crushed a two-run homer vs. Wagner (3/12)
-Was 2-for-2 with a double and pitched a perfect ninth vs. MSM (3/8)
-In game one vs. Dartmouth (3/5), was 2-for-4 with two RBI at the plate and tossed the final three innings for a save, striking out seven
-Pounded out two doubles in a three-hit day vs. Alabama (2/27), scoring twice and stealing a base
-Broke a 4-4 tie with a two-out, two-run double at South Alabama (2/25)

2010 (Sophomore): Earned a medical redshirt...Played in six games overall with five starts from March 2-13...Drove in a pair of runs on a base hit vs. CMU (3/7)...Made first 2010 appearance vs. Duquesne (3/2), notching a double, RBI and run scored...Sat out the first seven games with an injury.

2009 (Freshman): C-USA All-Freshman Team selection...Finished the year as UCF's designated hitter and one of its primary relief arms...At the plate, took off beginning April 3, going .349 during the final 29 games with eight doubles and eight homers...Ended with a .301 average, driving in 32 and scoring 28 runs while racking up 17 extra-base hits...Had a .516 slugging percentage and hit .342 in C-USA games...Toeing the rubber, closed out freshman year by holding a 6.79 ERA in 25 appearances and two starts...Posted a 4-5 record with three saves, striking out 31 and walking just 16 in 51.2 innings, which was the third-most IP on the staff...Grabbed first win on the mound by pitching 1.1 innings of relief vs. Monmouth (March 6)...Tossed the final 2.0 innings, giving up just one hit to earn the save vs. Monmouth (March 8)...Grabbed the win on the mound with 2.0 scoreless innings with one strikeout at Memphis (April 5)...Strong in relief vs. FGCU (April 15), going 6.2 with four strikeouts, no walks and just two runs against...Earned the win with 3.0 innings and two strikeouts vs. Stetson (April 21)...Set a UCF record with six runs scored at UAB (April 24)...In that game with the Blazers, went 5-for-6 with four RBI and his first D-I homer...Two homers brought in five runs and erased a 3-0 deficit vs. USF (April 28), then came in and got the save...Went 3-for-4 with a homer at the plate all while earning a three-inning save at UAB (April 26)...Crushed a three-run homer in a four-RBI game vs. Marshall (May 1)...Drove in five on two homers, including a grand slam, and also earned the win with 2.0 shutout innings of relief vs. Stetson (May 6)...Posted two hits with two RBI, a run and a double at Rice (May 8)...Held Houston scoreless in 3.1 relief innings (May 15)...Went 2-for-3 with a homer and walk vs. ECU in the C-USA Championship (May 20).

Prior to UCF: Drafted in the 49th round of the 2008 MLB Draft by the San Francisco Giants...Named the Orlando Sentinel's Central Florida Player of the Year in 2008 by leading Lake Brantley High School to the Class 6A state championship...Played for head coach Mike Smith...Went 5-0 as a senior, picking up a win in the state semifinals and a save in the state title game...In the box, had a .475 average with 13 home runs...Invited to the 18-U USA Tournament of Stars...Was a 2007 Louisville Slugger High School Preaseason All-American in 2007...Named Class 6A all-state honorable mention by the Florida Sports Writers Association in 2007...Competed for the USA Baseball Youth National Team in 2006, which went 9-0 for the gold medal in the COPABE `AA' Youth Pan Am Championships...Was selected to the 2006 WWBA World Championship All-Prospect Team...Hit .346 in eight starts with Team USA, posting three homers and 14 RBI while not making an error in 61 chances...Batted .485 as a junior for Lake Brantley...Also was a first-team all-conference honoree in basketball in 2008.
