Alex Guerra is in his second year working on the baseball staff and first year serving as the volunteer assistant coach. During the 2012 season, Guerra excelled as the Knights' director of baseball operations. In his previous role with the Knights, he oversaw the day-to-day operations of the baseball team while serving under head coach Terry Rooney.
Guerra arrived in Orlando in the summer of 2011 after spending three years at Radford where he was a member of the baseball team. A .311 career hitter while with the Highlanders, Guerra finished with 11 homers, 94 RBI and a .947 fielding percentage while playing all three infield positions.
A native of New York, Guerra grew up on Long Island with his parents, Alex and Liliana and sister, Christina.
