Andy Seeley was named Assistant Athletics Director for Communications at UCF in May, 2012 and began his tenure with the Knights in early June.

Seeley is responsible for the creation and implementation of a strategic communications plan, coordination of media coverage and serves as UCF Athletics' primary spokesperson. Seeley supervises the athletics communications office and manages UCFAthletics.com.

He spent the previous four years as the associate director of athletic communications at Minnesota, where he served as the primary media contact and communications manager for the Golden Gophers' football and men's gymnastics programs. During his time at Minnesota, Seeley developed and spearheaded department-wide implementation of blogs, interactive live-event blogging and the increase of video content on the Gophers' website. He created public/media relations campaigns for student-athletes and teams and also managed Minnesota's social media channels.

Prior to his stint at Minnesota, Seeley spent four years at Utah, where he concluded his tenure as the associate sports information director, handling publicity efforts for the men's basketball and women's soccer programs. During his time with the Utes, Seeley also worked closely with football, women's basketball and baseball.

Seeley served as the sports information director at Northwest Missouri State University from 1997-2004. He was responsible for all communications efforts for Northwest, which is one of the top athletics programs in NCAA Division II. During his tenure at Northwest, the Bearcats won two NCAA D-II championships in football and advanced to two Elite Eights in men's basketball.

Seeley began his athletic communications career with USA Roller Sports. He served as sports information director for the Lincoln, Neb.-based organization, which is the national governing body for roller speed skating, roller figure skating and roller hockey and is affiliated with the United States Olympic Committee.

Seeley earned his bachelor's degree in physical education from Northwest Missouri State University in 1994. He is a native of Milford, Neb. He is married to the former Jill Draper and has two children - Bryant, who is currently serving in the United States Navy and Morgan, who is in elementary school. Seeley and his family reside in Orlando.
