Stansbury, Embray hold discussion with Orlando-area business leaders
Keith Embray is UCF's Assistant Athletics Director for Student Services. He was named to the post in November 2012. Prior to joining UCF, Embray spent the previous three years as a manager and associate director for student welfare and development at the University of Notre Dame. Before Notre Dame, Embray spent four years as the program coordinator for the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program and as an adjunct professor of sociology at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah.
In his current role, Embray provides assistance in the total development of UCF's student-athletes. The office of Student Services fosters the cultivation of skills that prepare student-athletes for life beyond college and athletics, as well as providing resources to succeed academically, athletically and personally at UCF.
Embray specifically assists in the development, coordination, and implementation of programming for student-athletes in the following key areas: personal development, leadership development and career preparation.
Embray is a graduate of the University of Utah where he earned a bachelor's degree in history and a master's degree in sociology. He also holds an MBA from Westminster College.
While at Utah, Embray was a member of the Utes football team, was elected as a team captain in his senior season and was voted the team's defensive MVP that same year. Embray was a two-time All-Western Athletic Conference and all-academic selection as a defensive end. He went on to play seven years of professional football in the Canadian Football League, Arena Football League and National Football League.
Originally hailing from San Diego, Calif., Embray currently resides in Orlando and enjoys movies, music and college sports.
