Cheryl Hines is a two-time Emmy nominee for her role as Cheryl David on HBO's Golden Globe Award-winning series "Curb Your Enthusiasm," the brainchild of Larry David, co-creator of "Seinfeld." The show has been nominated for numerous Emmy Awards, including Best Supporting Actress for Cheryl, Best Actor for Larry and Best Comedy Series. Hines received the Michelle Akers Award, given to UCF alumni who are recognized in their chosen careers on an international scope.

Born September 21, 1965 in Miami Beach, Florida, Hines is a professional actress most famous for her role as Larry David's wife on HBO's "Curb Your Enthusiasm". She grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, where she attended Young Actors Theatre throughout high school. Hines first attended West Virginia University and Florida State University, before graduating from the University of Central Florida.

She moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue an acting career, and began by doing improvisational comedy at The Groundlings Theater. Among the people she studied with was Lisa Kudrow. She also learned to write comedy sketches, which served her well in her experiences with Larry David in the TV show "Curb Your Enthusiasm". The show is written as retro scripting in which the plot outlines are generally and loosely drawn and the individual characters improvise to create the dialogue.

In July 2006, Hines received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work on "Curb Your Enthusiasm".

She has been married to Paul Young, Chairman of L.A.'s Groundlings Theater, since December 30, 2002, and their daughter Catherine Rose was born on March 8, 2004.

Hines also participated in the 2006 Pro-Am Poker Equilizer.
