Entered the NFL as a college free agent with Baltimore on July 29, 2005.

Quickly: Haynes had two stints with the Broncos this season after re-signing with the team on 12/23. He originally signed with Denver on 11/10 before being waived on 11/22. He was inactive in his two games on the active roster.

2008: Listed as inactive at Atl. (11/16) and at S.D. (12/28).

2007: Haynes made his pro debut with Carolina where he carried three times for three yards (1.0 avg.) and made three catches for 14 yards (4.7 avg.) while contributing three special-teams tackles... Made his pro debut Oct. 14 at Ari. (10/14) and had a 2-yard carry... Made three catches for 14 yards, including a 6-yarder, vs. Ind. (10/28)... Added one special-teams tackle in each vs. Atl. (11/11), vs. Dal. (12/22) and at T.B. (12/30)... Also carried twice for one yard, including a 3-yard attempt against the Buccaneers.

2006: Haynes, who spent the season on Carolina's practice squad, prepared for the 2006 season in NFL Europe where in four games for Cologne he rushed 37 times for 238 yards (6.4 avg.) and three scores... Added two catches for 26 yards (13.0 avg.).

2005: Haynes, who entered the NFL as a college free agent with Baltimore on July 29, spent his rookie season on the practice squads on Baltimore and Carolina... Competed in Baltimore's training camp, but was waived on Sept. 3, before joining the Ravens' practice squad on Sept. 5... Waived from Baltimore's practice squad on Sept. 7 before signing to Carolina's practice squad on Oct. 12... Waived from the practice squad on Oct. 18 and was out of football until re-joining the Panthers' practice squad on Dec. 19 where he spent the balance of the season.

COLLEGE: Haynes completed his college career as the all-time leading rusher at the University of Central Florida with 3,356 yards on 742 attempts (4.5 avg.)... Ranked second in school annals with 27 rushing touchdowns... Led the Golden Knights with 854 yards and five touchdowns on 215 carries (4.0 avg.) as a senior... Racked up 183 attempts for 774 yards and five touchdowns as a junior... Posted just the third 1,000-yard season as he registered 1,038 yards and eight scores on 204 carries (5.1 avg.)... As a redshirt freshman, Haynes led the team with 690 yards and nine touchdowns on 140 attempts... Set the school record with four rushing touchdowns against Tulane.

PERSONAL: Haynes attended Maynard Evans High School in Orlando, Fla., where he totaled more than 1,400 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns... Alex Haynes, who majored in liberal studies, was born Feb. 13, 1982, in Orlando, Fla.
