ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFathletics.com ) -- The UCF Student Athlete Advisory Committee is sponsoring a canned food drive from Oct. 28-Nov. 3. Collections will be taken conveniently at several sporting events during the weekend, and donations can always be dropped off at Old Wayne Densch, Building 38.
All Conference USA institutions that participate in the drive will be in competition, and the member institution that collects the most food by weight during its food drive will be awarded the Conference USA Cup.
All proceeds will go to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, which is a nonprofit organization that aims to help the one in five Central Floridians who struggle with hunger and food insecurity.
The following sporting events will have a collection station for nonperishable foods:

Oct. 29: UCF Football vs. Memphis, 4 p.m.
Oct. 30: UCF Volleyball vs. Rice, 1 p.m.
