ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Daily update on the UCF football team for Thursday, Aug. 9. Today's practice is slated to go from 3:15-5:30 p.m.

-UCF
kicked off the second week of preseason drills outside Wednesday and got into
individual drills before heading inside Nicholson Fieldhouse due to an
approaching weather system.
-Wednesday
was the third night practice of the preseason.
-The
Knights decided to go with just shoulder pads instead of full pads.
-Sophomore
safety Clayton Geathers notched an interception for the second-straight day, sophomore
cornerback Bruce Dukes also pulled down an interception as did A.J. Bouye which
came on a 7v7 drill.
-The
best catch of the day was on a Rob Calabrese pass to Jacques Mackeroy as he
made a leaping grab to end segment 15, causing the offense to erupt.
-UCF's defense forced a pair of fumbles Wednesday, but running back Latavius Murray displayed impressive footwork throughout the session.

Stat of the Day
-UCF quarterbacks threw just eight interceptions in 2011, which was one shy of the school record of seven set in 1998 when Daunte Culpepper was an All-American and finished sixth in the Heisman Trophy balloting.
What to Look For
-Friday's practice will be in the evening and take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
