ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - Updating the Knights for Thursday, Aug. 16. Today marks the memorable Countdown to Kickoff Luncheon at the UCF Arena, with registration beginning at 11 a.m.

News

-Today's luncheon will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and parking is available for free in Garage D near the UCF Arena. There will be a silent auction, food, entertainment and an inside look at the Knights from head coach George O'Leary and his staff.

-Following the event, Thursday's practice is on the schedule for 3:15-5:30 p.m.

-On Wednesday, it was the start of week three of preseason camp, and the Knights went with full pads.

-UCF went indoors during segment seven due to a strong storm that moved through the area.

-On a goal-line drill, wideout J.J. Worton made a sensational catch in the corner of the endzone, barely dragging his foot in bounds for the diving touchdown. Quincy McDuffie also made a diving touchdown catch in the back of the endzone toward the end of practice.

-In the final six games of 2011, opponents forced just three fumbles against the Knights.

What to Look For

-UCF Football FanFest is only two days away. The Knights will practice Saturday at 2:30 p.m., while FanFest starts at 5 p.m. Those wearing gold shirts will be allowed to participate in the team photo at the beginning of FanFest.

-Fans are reminded that taking notes, pictures and video is not permitted. FanFest will begin after practice.

-Friday's practice session is slated for 6:30-8:30 p.m., but will likely start earlier.
