ORLANDO, Fla. (UCFAthletics.com) - News and notes on the UCF football team for Friday, Aug. 10. The Knights will conduct today's practice from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
-Head coach George O'Leary is scheduled to be on 790 AM The Ticket in Miami with Jason Jackson at 2:30 p.m. today.
-The Knights decided to go with just helmets and no shoulder pads Thursday.
-Freshman wide receiver Breshad Perriman had two nice catches during Thursday's session, the first of which came on a 30-yard toss from Blake Bortles as Perriman made a diving catch in the left corner of the endzone. The second was on a deep ball down the middle from Rob Calabrese.
-Senior running back Latavius Murray also produced a jaw-dropping catch when he pulled in a Bortles pass with one arm on the right sideline as a defender was draped on him.
-The Voice of the Knights, Marc Daniels, was in attendance for the second-straight practice.

Stat of the Day
-UCF has a combined 70 rushing touchdowns returning this year (including Storm Johnson who had one while with Miami). Latavius Murray leads the way with 22, Jeff Godfrey has 19 and Brynn Harvey has 18. The 70 rushing TDs lead all of Conference USA.
What to Look For
-Saturday and Sunday practices will be 3:15-5:30 p.m.
-The annual Countdown to Kickoff Luncheon will be Thursday, Aug. 16, with registration beginning at 11 a.m.
-FanFest will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, at 5 p.m., and practice that day for the Knights is at 2:30 p.m.
