During his time as an assistant coach from 2000-10 with the
Knights, Craig Brown seemingly always had a smile. Brown, who starred on the
collegiate level at Florida in the 1990s before playing professionally for
several years, loves the game of basketball, and clearly loved working at UCF.
For those reasons alone, Brown, who was recently hired as
the Knights' director of operations, is a welcome addition to the UCF staff. In
his new role, Brown will manage the program's day-to-day operations. After
finishing his first stint at UCF, he remained close to the game, handling color
commentary duties on broadcasts on the Gator Radio Network and ESPN3, and even
worked some UCF contests for Bright House Networks last year.
It will be nice to have Brown back in the basketball
offices, helping UCF's student-athletes and coaching staff reach their full
potential each day.
