Mission Statement
The mission of the CARE Team is to promote the well being UCF student-athletes through peer education.
Overview
The primary goal of the CARE Team is to be a resource to fellow UCF student-athletes. Members of the CARE Team will be educated on the topics that affect the welfare of UCF student-athletes. This program is designed to promote Courage to stand, Awareness of resources, Responsibility to act, and Excellence on and off the field.
CARE provides the opportunity to:
· Receive professional training
· Facilitate communication between coaches and athletes
· Provide leadership
· Provide extra support for first-year teammates
· Create a safe and healthy atmosphere for teammates
· Promote alcohol and drug abuse prevention and education
· Teach coping strategies and problem solving skills
· Improve interpersonal relationships
· Make a difference in the lives of teammates, peers, friends
